Phantom Dragon

This game was developed for the Game Jam Plus 23 in less than 48 hours.

It's a rail shooting game in which you control a dragon that must face a fleet of enemies with more advanced technology.

On one hand it was an experiment and a practice for us. But on the other hand it's also a tribute to the work of Yukio Futatsugi and his Panzer Dragoon franchise, developed by Team Andromeda.

We were a small but experienced team made up of only two people. 

Our goal was to test ourselves in our respective areas of game development. 

On the art side, we were searching for a more adequate exploration of the use of 3D programs and their implementation within the game engine. While on the programming side we sought to deepen knowledge in Unreal Engine 5 and C++ language.

For this event we were only able to finish the basic mechanics of the dragon's lateral movement and his displacement on the rails.

We still have to develop the shooting and damage mechanics, which will probably be finished for a next iteration.
